Newport News loves having Selene, created by sculptor Maria Gamundi, in its open-air art gallery. This past Saturday Gamundi unveiled her bronze statue “Sun Worshipper” in Pietrasanta, Italy. “Sun Worshipper” was placed in front of City Hall and will become part of Pietrasanta’s wonderful International Park of Contemporary Sculpture.
