Selene is having a brief moment in the sun — the Tuscan sun — with several days on view in the piazza in the sculpture-making town of Pietrasanta, where she was carved by Maria Gamundi and the artisans at Studio Stagetti. Soon, it’s into a crate, into a container and onto a ship for her trip to Newport News, her new home.
