The powerful ‘Tempesta’ began as a dream, a vision in the mind of Helaine Blumenfeld. In a new video, she explains the process, from working clay into a small model to a full-sized skeleton fleshed out with clay to a 46-piece jigsaw of cast bronze ready for assembly and patina. Narrated by Blumenfeld, whom the Financial Times called “one of the next Henry Moores,” the video is a window onto the fascinating world of making monumental sculpture.
