Klemperer is fascinated by animals, and she captures, in bronze or steel, the essence of sinew and muscle and bone, power and energy and agility, what it means to be this wild thing. The wildlife sculptures Klemperer is known for are informed by close study of her subjects’ bodies and behavior. But instead of the expected — faithful replicas of their anatomy — her work explores how their bodies move, how animals express themselves — and emotion — through motion. We are excited to have her creating a sculpture for the entrance of Deer Park. To find out more about her work click here.
