… for being named one of four participants in Donna Scultura, the annual exhibition of women artists in Pietrasanta, Italy. The 13th-century Sant’ Agostino complex is the perfect setting for some of the best new work in sculpture, which has been Pietrasanta’s specialty for centuries — just as Newport News is the perfect setting for Inger’s beautiful marble Elements. The jury selecting the exhibitors include Maria Teresa Tosi, director of the Museo Marino Marini in Florence; Rossana Sebastiani, head of culture in the Lucca region of Tuscany; Chiara Celli, director of the Museo dei Bozzetti in Pietrasanta; and Valentina Fogher, Pietrasanta’s exhibit consultant.
