A 14th century church made a fabulous backdrop for 21st century art as Pietrasanta, Italy, celebrated the artisans who make the sculpture for which the town has been known since the middle ages.  The craftsmen selected the work featured, including several pieces by artists who have work in Newport News, including Helaine Blumnfeld and Inger Sannes, along with Maria Gamundi, who is creating a work for Newport News.
