The Newport News Public Art Foundation is thrilled to receive the support from the City of Newport News through this year’s Cultural Attractions Fund. We are extremely thankful to the City Manager and City Council for continuing this support. These funds will make a large difference in our sculpture additions coming soon to Newport News’s “open-air art gallery”.

“City Council established the Cultural Attractions Fund to provide one-time operational and/or project support to local cultural arts entities adversely impacted by the continued effects of the economic recession. These funds are intended to serve as a financial safety net to ensure the ongoing viability of the local cultural assets and should serve as an incentive to encourage private fundraising and grant match investment.” More information about this Fund can be found on the City’s website by clicking here.
